Shipping & Handling

Shipping costs are calculated at the time of purchase and are added to the total purchase price. Orders are typically shipped the most economical. We will ship your order within 3 business days - Tuesday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Any special shipping requests must be made in the comments box or email/call us. Additional charges may apply.

We will send you an email with your tracking number (where applicable) once your item has been shipped.

Additional shipping charges may apply for heavier/larger orders and we will contact you before shipping.

For orders of $100.00 or more before taxes – FREE SHIPPING!

For shipping to the Continental United States excluding Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico.

Sent USPS Flat Rate, which is not tracked and not insured. Allow 2 - 3 days.
If you wish tracking or insurance, leave a note in the comments box or email/call us; additional charges apply.

For Flat Rate shipments  - $12.00 up to $21.00

For Expedited shipments - begin at $20.00, add $1, additional fees for larger boxes. We will contact you before shipping.


If items are not available at the time of your order, we will contact you by email and offer you the option to backorder or substitute product or cancel with refund.

Please note that Southern Twist Yarns is not responsible for packages that do not arrive.


Returns and Exchanges

We are happy to accept returns on yarn for a store credit within 30 days of purchase if unused, in original condition, and with the original Order Number.  The refund will be made to the original payment method. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Sale yarn, special orders, needles, notions, books, patterns, and giftware are all final sale.

If you registered an account with us, you can request a refund through the My Account link above. Click View for the order you wish to return and then click Return Item(s). Choose the products to return and the quantity. Choose a return reason and action, then click Send.

If you prefer, you may also call us or email us, clearly stating your reason for the return, along with your order number and the specific items you wish to return/exchange.

We will issue you a Return Authorization Number (RA#). Please note the RA# on the front of your return parcel.

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the status of your refund. If you requested an exchange, we will then process and ship your replacement order.  Shipping charges will apply.
